HomeMy WebLinkAboutK 2 ANNEXATION AND ZONING 1.27.92 P AND Z BOARD HEARING - 51 91 A - CORRESPONDENCE - RESPONSE TO CITIZENDevelopmer►, , Services Planning Department City of Fort Collins January 21, 1992 Ed Russell C and W Transportation 1012 NE Frontage Road PO Box 4 Fort Collins, CO 80522 Dear Mr. Russell, The Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, on Monday, January 27, 1992*, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers**, City Hall West, 300 Laporte Avenue, will hold a public hearing on a proposed county enclave annexation request. The proposed annexation is known as the K-2 Annexation and Zoning, #51- 91,A. The property to be annexed is located east of I-25, north of Vine Drive and south of the Larimer and Weld Canal. The property at 1012 NE Frontage Road (the site of C and W Transportation) is included within this county enclave annexation request, having been completely surrounded by the City of Fort Collins since October 18, 1988. (Please see attached map for specific location of this annexation request). City Staff has also proposed that this property be placed in the I- L, Limited Industrial, Zoning District, with a Planned Unit Development (PUD) condition attached to the zoning. The I-L zoning designation is primarily for light industrial uses. The surrounding properties are zoned I-L; with a PUD condition attached. Therefore, the proposed zoning is compatible with the zoning of surrounding properties. The dates of review by the Fort Collins City Council have changed since my previous letter. City Council will consider official annexation and zoning of the property via resolution and intent to annex, on February 4, 1992. First reading of the annexation and zoning ordinances is scheduled for March 17, 1992. Second reading is scheduled for April 7, 1992, which would be the effective date of annexation into the City of Fort Collins.
