Mr. Hess,
You have requested that an attachment for pre-assembled stairs at the garage be provided for
the Mosaic Subdivision. This attachment will satisfy 2018 IRC design loads for both the single-
family residences and alley load plans at the subdivision.
The attached sheet shows an attachment to the garage sill plate for pre-assembled stairs with
four risers or less. The attachment uses SDWS screws drilled through plywood from the pre-
assembled stairs to the garage sill plate. Please note the stringer resting on the garage slab in
the stair assembly does not need to be moisture treated.
