RE: Deck replacement at 1912 Crestmore Place
To Whom it may concern:
When the existing deck was removed, it became apparent that one new column was going to bear
on a large existing concrete stair. Rather than remove the stair to dig the footing,the contractor
asked to set the new column directly on the existing stair. The stair structure is intact and the
new column will be hearing almost in the center of it. Thus the stair will provide an adequate
footing to carry the loads from the deck above, and it will not be neip d t move the stair
and provide a new footing. , ``
