You do not need to have the counter and cabinets in for the final inspection. If you are done with the bathroom let me know and I can put in an inspection request! Can you tell me how much needs to be complete for the final inspection. We are putting in a dry bar but the cabinets are backordered. I know we have another month but I am wondering if it is necessary to inspect cabinets and a counter that will not be there. There is no plumbing or electrical involved. The space where it is going is all finished with drywall and floor, just no trim where the cabinets will be. If we don’t need to inspect that we would be ready as soon as we finish up the bathroom. Thanks! When you have an inspection it resets it another 180 days, so your photo inspection 9/24/2020 pushed it back. As it gets close to expiration date you’ll get a mailed reminder that the permit is set to expire. If you need more time, you can request a one time extension of 180 days by emailing buildingservices@fcgov.com with your request. Please let me know if you have any other questions! I have a few questions for you as I get this entered. 1. Are you finishing the entire 740 sq ft? If not, how many sq ft are you finishing? 2. Is there an existing egress window in the future bedroom, or are you installing one as part of this permit? 3. Are you replacing an existing AC with a new AC unit, or are you installing new AC for the first time? Finally, as the homeowner you are able to act as your own general contractor, but we’ll need to have you sign a homeowner affidavit (attached). This form does need to be notarized; we are referring people to drive-through banks at this time, or you can make an appointment to come into our office Monday-Thursday. You’ll choose option two on the affidavit which states that this is your primary residence, you’re acting as your own general contractor, and anyone you hire must be licensed with the city and listed on the permit. You can strike through the permit number area. Please let me know if you have any questions! Best, Erin Barzak Pronouns: she/her/hers (What’s this?)
