Dear Mr. Sinclair:
As requested, we have visually observed the excavation at the above referenced location. The
purpose of this observation was to verify that the bearing capacity of the soil is adequate for the
support of the foundation and structure as shown on the foundation and framing plans drawn by
Crown Engineering, lie., project number 250-01-11-0 I.
At the time of our observation, the excavation had been completed. The excavation revealed
sandy clays to the depths excavated, for a crawl space foundation.
It is our opinion that the subsurface conditions exposed in the excavation appear to be suitable
for the placement of the foundation as de::;igned by Crown Engineering, Ile.
