Plans/Details: Plans by TD Structural Engineering Inc. dated 5/21/2020 and revised 10/15/2020
Per your request I have reviewed the hangers for the deck floor joists. I understand 10x x 1 ½" nails were
used in the double shear Simpson hangers.. Based on Simpson's atfowance for decreasing capacity if 1
½" nails are used the hangers as installed are adequate for the design load. No additional reinforcing is
required .
