The above site was personally inspected on Feb. 2, 2021. The plans indicate the existing
window that is to be removed and replaced with an approved 4 ' -1 O"-'x4' -1 O" "egress
window'' is located on the East side (south window) of the 2 story house. The area is in a
one story portion of the house. The existing area is in a concrete foundation with a
wooden sill plate and rim joist, The siding above is 3' of rock facing and then stucco
above. It is assumed to have horizontal reinforcement near the top of the foundation wall
since it is a new house. The new egress window will be cut out leaving a minimum of 8"
of concrete above the opening and below the sill plate. This should be adequate for the
new window using a normal window frame. Unless something different is found the new
window is approved for installation.
