It is our understanding that the stair landing framing in all units differs than the design drawings
provided by CTL Thompson (project number FC07735.40'5 , dated 02:/04/2021 ). Where-a (2) 2x12
beam is called out on plans at the ~tair landings, (2) 2x8 beams were installed , Per your request,
personnel from our office have reviewed the installed framing at the main floor stair landing .
The installed (2} 2x8 beams have adequate strength to carry the demand stair loads . The (2) 2.x12
beam was specified to allow ·for a greater peam depth for the stair s.tri ngers to at~ch to. The
i nstalled stringers have a CS16 strap connection w ith a minimum length of5'' to the (2) 2x8 be.ams
there.fore not requ iring the 2x12 beam depth. No changes to th~ installed-stair framing is required.
