Observation Dates: December 4th, 2020
Items Observed: framing
Notes:
Observations indicate the framing is in substantial conformance with the plans as noted above
with the following exceptions:
• There was a single 2x6 stud instead of a 2-2x6 required to support Girder truss G1 at the
detached garage. An additional 2x6 has since been added.
• The STHD holdown straps at the detached garage were misplaced. HDU8 holdowns have
been installed in the correct locations.
• There were a few ledgerloks for the upper-level roof trusses that missed the studs.
Additional ledgerloks were added and were installed correctly.
• The W10x22 steel beam to post connection was missing during the time of our
observation. This has since been fixed with a welded connection, two opposite sides.
• Three additional 7¼” LVL kings studs were added to the west side of the two-story entry
window to transfer lateral forces.
• The ten 2x6 king studs and post have been strapped per our request.
