HomeMy WebLinkAboutRECYCLING COLLECTION CENTER PUD - PRELIMINARY AND FINAL - 26-87 - - PROJECT NARRATIVE (2)• • PROJECT DESCRIPTION The site will be used as a warehouse for storage of recycled materials collected by the one year pilot curbside collection program. Materials stored will include newspaper, cardboard, aluminum cans, glass, and a small amount of used motor oil. The operation will have t - 5 full-time employees, responsible for curbside pickup, and a limited amount of sort- ing, unloading and loading for shipment at the recycling collection center site. Recyclable items are not to be delivered to the collection center site by the general public. Traffic generation will be limited to ? - 6 trips per day by the curbside pickup operation, and 37 - 6 trips per month by semi - trucks, hauling the recycled materials to another location (possibly Denver. The project conforms to the following Land Use Policies: Preferential consideration shall be given to urban development propos- als which are contiguous to existing development within the City limits or consistent with the phasing plan for the City's Urban Growth Area. 60.
