ORDINANCE NO. 66 , 1965,
ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE PLAT OF WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE
THUNDERBIRD ESTATES TENTH ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS AND TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE LIMITS AND JURIS-
DICTION THEREOF, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY CONTAINED IN
ARTICLE 11, CHAPTER 139, COLORADO REVISED STATUTES 1953
WHEREAS, heretofore a written petition was presented to the Council
of the City of Fort Collins in substantial compliance with the provisions of
Article 11, Chapter 139, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1953, by the owners of
more than fifty per cent (50%) of the area and who comprise the majority of
landowners residing in the area of land embraced in what is known as the Thunder-
bird Estates Tenth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, wherein and
whereby said petitioners petitioned the City of Fort Collins for.annexation
of all the territory embraced in what is known as the Thunderbird Estates Tenth
Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, comprising the lands shown
in the plat thereof attached to said petition and more particularly described
as hereinafter set forth, and
WHEREAS, said petition was accepted by the Council of the City of
Fort Collins by resolution passed and adopted on October 10, 1965t and
WHEREAS, notice for hearing on the 23rd day of December, 1965, on
an ordinance approving the annexation of said territory and including the same
within the limits and jurisdiction of the City of Fort Collins was duly
published as provided by law, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has found that the
petition and the documents thereto attached meet the requirements of Article
11, Chapter 139, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1953, and
WHEREAS, no proceedings for an election to determine the question
of annexation have been initiated by written counter -petition as provided by
law and no objection to annexation having been made;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That after due consideration of the petition for
annexation, the petition for the annexation of all the territory in what is

known and described as the Thunderbird Estates/Annexation to the City of Fort
Collins, Colorado, as shown by the plat thereof annexed to said petition and
which is more particularly described as follows, to -wit
A part of the S� of the NW4 of Section 25, Township 7 North Range 69
West of the 6`' Principal Meridian in the County of Larimerr State of
Colorado, contained within the boundary lines as shown and considering
the North line of the said NW4 to bear North 89°45'00" East and with all
bearings contained herein relative thereto; Commencing at the Northwest
corner of said Section 25; thence N. 89°45'00" East 1,320.10 feet to the
Northeast corner of the NA of the NW4 of said Section 25; thence S. 60'
08'25" East 1,318.39 feet to the Southeast corner of Thunderbird Estates
Third Annexation, which point is also the Northeast corner of the SW4 of
the NW4 of said Section 25, the True Point of Beginning; thence N. 89°46'04"
E. along the North line of the S� of the.NW4 157.00 feet; thence S. 00'
00'00" E. 1,318.43 feet to a point on the South line of the NW4; thence
S. 89°47'08" W. along the said South line of the NW4 1,165.31 feet to a
point from which the Southwest corner of the NW4 bears S. 89047'08" W.
314.43 feet; tiv nce N. 00000'00" E. 685.08 feet to the most Southwesterly
corner of Thunderbird Estates Eighth Annexation; thence along the outer
boundary of said Thunderbird Estates Eighth Annexation by the following
courses and distances: N. 90°00'00" E. 80.00 feet; thence along the arc
of a curve to the left whose radius is 705.14 feet and whose chord bears
N. 80000'00" E.. 244.89 feet; thence along the arc of a curve to the right
whose radius is 14.77 feet and whose chord bears S. 68°11'54" E. 20.30 feet;
S. 23011'54" E., 279.05 feet; N. 66°48'06" E. 50.00 feet; thence along the arc
of a curve to the left whose radius is 997.77 feet and whose chord bears N.
62D07'00" E. 11.3.10 feet; N. 58052'00" E. 369.75 feet; thence along the arc
of a curve to the right whose radius is 15.00 feet and whose chord bears S.
76008'00" E. 21.21 feet; N. 58°52'00" E. 188.13 feet to the Southerly corner of
Thunderbird Estates Ninth Annexation; thence N. 09°40'30" West along the Easterly
boundary of said Thunderbird Estates Ninth Annexation, 509.89 feet to the
True Point of Beginning;
be accepted and approved and that said territory be annexed and made a part
of the City of Fort Collins and be included within the limits and jurisdiction
of the City of Fort Collins as a "RL" Residence District~ and that the City
Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare certified copies
of this ordinance., to each of which shall be attached a plat of said Thunderbird
Estates Tenth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, and shall
file a copy thereof in the office of the Clerk and Recorder of the County of
Larimer, and another copy thereof in the office of the Clark of the City of
Fort Collins, together with a certified copy of said petition, and another copy
of said petition and approving ordinance with the Secretary of State of the
State of Colorado.
Section 2. That in accepting and approving the plat of the Thunderbird
Estates Tenth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, the City of Fort
Collins does not assume obligations respecting the construction of water mains,
sewer lines, gas mains, electric light lines or other seryiess or utilities with

respect to service of said addition, except as may be required and provided
by the owners of the property within the limits of said addition in compliance
with the terms and provisions of Chapter 15, Code of Ordinances of the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, 1958, as amended, relating to local and public
improvements.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 23rd day of December, A. D. 1965, and to be presented for .
final passage on the 13th day of January, A. D. 1966.

correct copy of Ordinance No. 66, 1965 annexing what is known as Thunderbird
Estates Tenth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado which was passed
and adopted on the 13th day of January, A. D. 1966.
