BEING AN ORD)INANCE' ANHIRXING CERTAIN TXPI'_ 9'0RY TO THE CITY 01' FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
WIII_JdZhAS, heretofore a written petition, -ogether with four prints of an annexation map,
was filed with the City Clerk of the City of fort Collins requesting the annexation of
certain territory more particularly described below to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado;
and
WnPFAS, the City Council has found and cetermined and does hereby find and determine
that said petition is in substantial compliance with the provisions of Colorado Revised
Statutes, 1963, s 137-21-6, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the owners of one hundred per c(nt of the property to be annexed have
petitioned for said annexation; and
W[1ET?FAS, not less than one -sixth of the ])erimeter of the area to be annexed is con-
tiguous with the City of Fort Collins and a community of interest exists between the
territory to be annexed and the City of Fort Collins and the territory to be annexed is
urban or will be urbanised in the near future and such territory is integrated or is capable
of being integrated with the City of Fort Col ins; and
WHERFAS, none of the provisions of Cclor;.do Revised Statutes, 1963, R 139-21-4, as
amended, are violated by the annexation of th_s territory to the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEF AS, no election is required under the provision of Colorado Revised Statutes,
1963, 9 139-21-6 (2) and no additional terms ;nd conditions are to be imposed in connection
with this annexation; and
WHEREAS, the territory is eligible for annexation and the City Council desires to annex
the same to the City of Fort Collins.
NOW, TIIK}d-FORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That all of the territory mo_,e particularly described as situate in the
County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to -wit:
A portion of the East 1/2 of Section 24, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the
Sixth P. M., and considering the ;,lest lice of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section
24 as bearing N. 00°03'30" E. and with aLl bearings contained herein relative
thereto is contained within the boundary lines which begirt at the center 114
corner of said Section 24, and run thenc N. 00°03'30" E.�88.00 feet; thence
S. 72002' E. 226.50 feet; thence S. 88°47' E. 265.20 feet; thence S. 45015' E.
16.00 feet; thence S. 35032' E. 135.00 feet; thence S. 54°00' E. 113.00 feet;
thence S. 88024' E. 208.00 feet; thence 4. 83015' E. 153.00 feet; thence N. 11'
05' E. 170.50 feet to a point on the North line of the Southeast 1/4 of said
Section 24; thence N. 89045'30" E. 1580.30 feet along said North line to the
East 1/4 corner of said Section 24; theme S. 00°07' E. 1245.00 feet along the
East line of said Southeast 1/4; thence 3. 89°53' W. 65.00 feet; thence along
the arc of a 617.78 foot radius curve to the right a distance of 256.26 feet,
the long chord of which curve bears N. 73°14' W. 254.43 feet; thence N. 66°21'
W. 289.49 feet; thence along the arc of a 1554.97 foot radius curve to the left
a distance of 967.52 feet, the long chor3 of which curve bears N. 84'10'30" W.
951.98 feet; thence S. 78°00' W. 176.00 feet; thence along the arc of a 628.89
foot radius curve to the right a distance of 526.86 feet, the long chord of which
curve bears N. 78000 ' W. 511.59 feet; thence N. 54000' W. 140.00 feet; thence
along the arc of a 308.30 foot radius cove to the left a distance of 193.40
feet, the long chord of which curve bears N. 71058'15" W. 190.24 feet; thence
N. 89056130" W. 14:5.00 feet to a point on the West line of the Southeast 1/4
of said Section 2z; thence N. 00°03'30" E. 758.27 feet along said West line to
the point of beginning, containing 58.E_67 acres, more or less;
be and it hereby is amexed to the City of For Collins and mede a part of said City, to
be known as the Guard First Annexation to the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That in annexing said territory to the City of Fort Collins, the City of
Fort Collin: does not assume any obligations respecting the construction of Crater mains,
sewer lines, gas mains, electric service lines streets or any other services or utilities
in connection with the territory hereby annexed except as may be provided by the ordinances
of the City of Fort Collins.
