ORDINANCE NO. 41 , 19 72 ,
BEING AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS.
WHEREAS, heretofore, a written petition was filed with the City Clerk requesting
the annexation of certain territory to the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken the necessary steps and held the hearings
as required by late and has determined that said territory is eligible for annexation and
should be annexed to the City of Fort Collins.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That all of the territory more particularly described as situate
in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to -wit:
A Tract of land situate in the SE 1/4 of Section 26, and in the
NE 1/4 of Section 35, Totmship 7 North", Range 69 hdest of the
6th P.M., Lari;ner County, Colorado; ti,,hich considering the East
line of the NE 1/4 of said Section 3S as Dearing S. 00029' E. and
with all bearinns contained herein relative thereto is contained
within the boundary lines zrhich begin at the SE corner of said
Section 26; and run thence N. 00'23'20" E. 1344.66 feet along the
East line of the SE 1/4 of said Section 26; thence N. 89049140" IV.
47.59 feet to a point on the 1Vest right-of-way line of U. S. Highway
No. 287; thence S. 00000140" E. 1344.66 feet along said Nest right-
of-way line to a point on the South line of the said SE 1/4; thence
N. 89049'40" 1V. 554.94 feet along the N. line of the NE 1/4 of said
Section 3S; thence S. Ol°04' IV. 330.00 feet; thence N. 89°49'40"
11. 300.00 feet to a point on the East line of the Colorado and
Southern Railroad; thence S. Ol°04' 19. 1028.30 feet; thence S. S9°
55'45" E.•929.87 £cet to a poir:t on the East line of the NE 1/4
of said Section 35;' thence N. 00°29' 1V. 1-356.58 feet to the point
of beginning; containing 27.4S36 acres more or less.
be and it hereby is annexed to the City of Fort Collins and made a part of said City to be
known as The Horsetooth Annexation to the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That in annexing said territory to the City of Fort Collins, the
City of Fort Collins does not assume any obligation respecting the construction of water
mains, sewer lines, gas mains, electric service lines, streets or any other services or
utilities in connection with the territory hereby annexed except as may be provided by
the ordinances of the City of Fort Collins.
