RE: Street Name Change Request: Farm Tree Road to Wallenberg
Drive, City Council Resolution 92-188
On December 15, 1992, City Council passed a Resolution authorizing
the street name change to delete "Farm Tree Road" and replace it
with "Wallenberg Drive". Wallenberg Drive will now intersect
directly with Sheely Drive without the intervening 100 yard spur of
Farm Tree Road.
Please make the necessary modifications to your maps, records,
files, computers, or geographic information systems so your agency
is up to date. If you have any questions, please call the Planning
Department.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has been petitioned to
rename Farm Tree Road (which is a short spur that connects the Arthur C. Sheely
Subdivision with the Hill Pond on Spring Creek, Second Filing, Subdivision) to
Wallenberg Drive; and
WHEREAS, City agencies, the U.S. Postal Service and utility companies have
been contacted regarding the proposed name change and have reported no objections
to the proposed change; and
WHEREAS, the applicants have duly followed City procedure as outlined under
Street Name Changes of the Department of Community Planning and Environmental
Services document entitled "City of Fort Collins Development Manual"; and
WHEREAS, the rights of the residents of the City of Fort Collins will in
no way be prejudiced or injured by the renaming of this street; and
WHEREAS, the cost of making the new signs for the street will be charged
to the applicants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that "Farm Tree Road," connecting the Arthur C. Sheely Subdivision with the Hill
Pond on Spring Creek, Second Filing, Subdivision, be renamed "Wallenberg Drive."
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 15th day of December, A.D. 1992.
