RESOLUTION 06-043
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
RENAMING A PORTION OF COCKLEBUR DRIVE TO CUTTING HORSE DRIVE,
A PORTION OF KERRY HILL DRIVE TO BLUE YONDER WAY
AND A PORTION OF SCARECROW ROAD TO TRESTLE ROAD
WHEREAS, the staff of the City is requesting that the Council rename a portion of
Cocklebur Drive to Cutting Horse Drive, a portion of Kerry Hill Drive to Blue Yonder Way and a
portion of Scarecrow Road to Trestle Road; and
WHEREAS, all of the aforesaid streets have been platted as a part of the Side Hill Filing 2
project development plan and are shown on the official City street and zoning map; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins (the 'Petitioner") has followed the procedures as
outlined under the "Street Name Changes" of the City of Fort Collins Development Manual; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the proposed street name changes is to resolve confusion as to
addresses and simplify driving directions for residents, emergency personnel and delivery people;
and
WHEREAS, these changes will also eliminate the possibility of duplicate street addresses
on a continuous roadway in Filing 3 of the Side Hill project development plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed street renaming will not change any addresses for structures
already built, and the rights of the residents of the City of Fort Collins will in no way be prejudiced
or injured by renaming these streets; and
WHEREAS, the cost to the City in making the proposed change will be negligible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that a portion of Cocklebur Drive is hereby changed to Cutting Horse Drive, a portion of
Kerry Hill Drive is hereby changed to Blue Yonder Way and a portion of Scarecrow Road is hereby
changed to Trestle Road, all of which portions are more particularly described on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference and all being a part of the Side Hill Filing
2 project development plan in the City of Fort Collins.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Counc' of the City of Fort Collins this 18th
day of April, A.D. 2006.
