Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522 SUBJECT: 20' Alley Right -of -Way Vacation Request Centennial High School Dear Mr. McNair: This is a request for the vacation of an alley right-of-way on the south end of Block 146, Fort Collins, located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the 6th P.M., County of Lan mer, State of Colorado. The north -south alley ends at the north line of this site and is not constructed through to Laurel Street. instead, a 17 foot wide east -west alley is built from the south end of the existing alley, east to Peterson Street immediately north of the site. The vacation of the north -south alley between Lot 12, Block 146 and Lot 19, Replat of Lots 1 and 2, Block 146, Fort Collins will not deprive any party of access. Above ground utility boxes and metal storage trailers presently exist in this area and block practical access to the 20 foot wide alley right of way. The Centennial High School campus now occupies the entire south end of Block 146 and the planned expansion of the school would benefit from the consolidation of the site. A 20 fool wide utility easement will be retained over the area of the vacated alley. This will provide approximately 10 feet on each side of the existing sanitary sewer line. In addition two five foot wide utility casement will be dedicated immediately adjacent to each side of said vacated alley. The combined easemeriLs will provide a more generous utility easement than the original 20 foot wide alley, while allowing the school the use of the surface of the ground. Sincerely, William S.
