Fort Collins, CO 80621 phone: 221-1812 Application for Vacation of Easement Description of Building: Tool Shed located at North boundary of our property (1600 Collins Ct) Request: The easement on the north side of the building be reduced from V to 4'. Procedures: We constructed this building using the 1997 UBC Permit Exemption "A building Permit shall not be required for the following:" (Section 106.2 paragraph 1). "Detached accessory buildings used for tool storage ...that do not exceed 120 sq ft ... are constructed of noncombustible materials when located less that three feet from an adjoining property line' The only utility at the rear of the property is a telephone pole. This is accessible in all directions from neighboring property and with our proposed 4' easement request All cable and utility companies were contacted at the beginning of the project as directed by The City of Fort Collins Utility Services. 1. City of Fort Collins Utility Services 6/22102 (Ticket # 0357325) 2. Xcel. 6/24/04 (Ticket # 357324 3. Comcast Cable 6/24/04 We were not informed about a 6 ft easement when we contacted the City of Fort Collins Engineering Department. Reason for request We have spent approximable $10,000 and many hours on this home improvement project. Without a vacation of easement we will be forced to reconstruct the north wall which would involve demolition of a considerable amount of this project.
