Name (please PRINT): Telephone September 22, 2008 To Whom It May Concern: In an attempt to reduce the overall water consumption and to establish a more viable and sustainable Home Owners Association, we, SideHill Master Association, Inc. propose the following minor amendments to the identified common areas in SideHill, Filing One, Final Compliance Plans. The original Association was comprised of the single family homes as well as 2 sub -associations consisting of the Condominiums and Bungalows. Those two sub -associations created their own independent associations just days before the first closings occurred. All common areas in Filing One are now financially supported solely by the single family homes in the Master Association. We have approached both the Condominium Association and the Bungalow Association and requested that they contribute financially to the ongoing upkeep, maintenance and expense of the 3 designated common areas. They have declined our requests. This minor amendment is designed to enhance the future viability and sustainability of the Master Association by reducing the massive expense of irrigating and maintaining the existing common areas of irrigated turf. The amendment will significantly reduce water consumption in the common areas which will benefit not only the Association but the community as a whole. The SideHill, Filing One, Final Compliance Plans, where highlighted is currently irrigated turf. In exchange we propose to have the areas indicated professionally overseeded by drilling into the existing turf and seeding the area with the City approved dryland mix. To insure the full establishment and ongoing viability of the dryland seed mix the areas will be irrigated to promote sufficient rooting and to over take the existing turf. Existing grades will not be impacted; this will be a surface application only. All trees and shrubs will continue to be irrigated by the existing drip system as needed. After the area is fully established we will vacate use of the irrigation system which will again drastically reduce water consumption in SideHill and assist us greatly in reducing the expense to the Master Association as well as support water conservation for the community as a whole.
