Dear Mr. Herzig:
On behalf of Poudre School District R-1, we are
submitting herewith, the following documents which relate to
approval of drainage report for the above subject project,
and also the filling in and piping a portion of the existing
City stormwater ditch along the north school property line.
As you know, we have separately submitted through your Ted
Shepard, the wetland mitigation plan which is associated
with filling and piping the ditch.
For Drainage Report
1. Three copies of the Drainage Report dated August, 1991.
Included are copies of the four exhibits. We
understand you will have one copy approved and returned
to us.
2. Your red -lined copy of our report and the red -lined
exhibits, which were returned to us with your 9/10/91
letter of transmittal.
Regarding the City drainage ditch which is to be filled
in and replaced with a 42 inch diameter pipeline, the
pipeline length has been shortened by 31 feet. This was
agreed to at our meeting with City Forester, Tim Buchanan in
order to :save the ponderosa pine tree on the northern bank
which has been located approximately at the projection of
the school's east property line.
Also, in conjunction with the above, we have modified
the grading immediately north of the pipeline in keeping
with the existing northern ditch bank elevation so that
runoff from the school property will be collected by the
inlets placed over the pipeline.
Finally, as requested by the City's Stormwater
Department, we have deleted the trash/person rack from the
eastern pipe outlet.
For Overall School Site Review
In accordance with the City's recent request, we have
grouped the site drawings related to the Southeast school
and are enclosing 10 copies of the following. we understand
the City will be furnishing its approval:
SD-lA Title Sheet
SD-3 Grading Plan
SD-3A Stormwater Collector Ditch; Pipe -Plan and
Profile
SD-31B Wetland Mitigation Plan
SD-4 Site Utility and Paving Plans (Shows
connection of school building water and
sanitary sewer to street mains)
SD-8 Irrigation Line Relocation - Plan and Profile
SD-10 Erosion Control Plan
Five of these drawings have already been reviewed in
conjunction with the drainage report, and some are exhibits
in the report.
We will appreciate your prompt review of these
submissions in order to enable PR-1 to meet their 1992
school opening date.

Re: Southeast Elementary School
Dear Mike,
This letter will be to record our conversation of last week
regarding the sidewalk along Monte Carlo at the above referenced
project. This, sidewalk abuts the curb and is six feet wide except
where it will encounter one lighting standard. The sidewalk will
be tapered down to miss the lighting standard with approximately
fifteen feet of taper on either side of the lighting standard.
Once again, this letter is simply to record what we agreed to last
week.
