Dear Dave,
This letter is intended to follow up on our December 16" meeting with Tess Jones from CDOT.
In our meeting, we discussed the length of the existing westbound left turn lane on Harmony and
documentation of the existing condition was requested to be provided to you.
Information provided to me by Matt Delich (and as discussed in our meeting) indicates that the
requirement for the left turn is 675' total length. This length would include a 180' taper (15:1 taper)
and 495' of full width lane. The total length of the existing left turn is 750', which includes a 285' taper
and a 465' full width lane. The existing lane is deficit in the length of the full width lane but the total
length exceeds the criteria.
