During your review of the project, the lack of water utility information on the plans was noted, and additional information regarding line sizes, connections, and specific details was requested on the plans. In this case, Link's "client" (Water Treatment Plant) has specifically asked that detailed information regarding the pump station be left off the PDP/FCP plans that are available to the public. Water plant staff is under a mandate regarding increased security and has had to take additional measures to decrease the water system's vulnerability. Link and I suggest that we leave these plans as -is regarding the water utility information and provide the additional detail in the construction plans. As project manager, Link is involved with this project on a weekly basis and will make sure that the detailed information is included. I'm confident that the pump station will be built to high standards. The Utilities project management group will be providing inspection and resident engineering services on the project. Please let me know if you need any additional information or would like to talk more about it Thanks, Roger CC: Link Mueller Susan Joy - Re: Fwd: Southwest pump station Page 1 From: Dave Stringer To: Susan Joy Date: 2/12/04 9:45AM Subject: Re: Fwd: Southwest pump station Yes, I support what is being proposed. They, the utilities are under federal rules because of the Homeland Security Act, which means many of their projects are restricted from public view, this being one of them. Dave >>> Susan Joy 02/10/04 04:18PM >>> Hello Dave! Roger was wondering if you had a chance to think about Link's request not to include certain information on his set of plans for security reasons. Roger was supportive of it - are you as well? Thanks very much!! Susan ps... Glad you're back! I know you're not :D
