Box 819 Boulder, Colorado 80306 Attn: Jim 'Pendleton Re: Proposed Kelger Park Sudivision 14 September 1977 Dear Jim; The existing drainage for the reference project flows north to LaPorte Avenue along the dirt road which occupies the alignment of the future Scott Place. Storm drainage calculations indicate that the pro Posed development will not increase the runoff to LaPorte Avenue by any significant amount. This assumes that Lots #1, #6, (f7, #8 and #9 will drain onto Scott Place. Lots #2, #3, #4 and #5 will henceforth drain into the alley which exists along the east boundary of the proposed subdivision. In addition, the proposed street cross section will easily contain the projected storm drainage, even during the 100 year storm.. In conclusion, the increased runoff from the Proposed Kelger Park Subdivision will be insignificant, follows existing flow paths, and. will be contained within the street cross section. Boy: 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522 Dear Bob: On behalf of the Fort Collins Housing Authority, I am requesting a variance by the Storm Drainage Board for the elimination of storm water detention facilities for Kelger Park. It is a small residential subdivision which is being replatted at this time from a plan that was approved without detention in November of 1977. The largest portion of the runoff is north on the surface in Jamith Place to LaPorte Avenue and then east in LaPorte Avenue to an existing catch basin at the Southwest corner of LaPorte Avenue and North Shields Street. None of the existing residential neighborhoods have detention facilities. If you have any questions in this matter, please call. Sincerely, JAMES H. STEWART AND ASSOCIATES, INC. Richard A.
