Existing trees marked for protection and preservation shall not be removed. 2. Heavy equipment should not be allowed to compact over the soil over the root zone of existing trees. 3. Avoid cutting surface roots wherever possible. Sidewalks and paving levels should be contoured sufficiently to avoid damage. 4. Root cuts from excavation should be done rapidly. Smooth flush cuts should be made. Backfill before the roots have a chance to dry out and water the tree immediately. 5. Prior to construction, all protected trees shall have orange protection barrier fencing erected, which as a minimum are supported by 1' x 1' or similar stun Yy stock, for shielding of protected trees, no closer than six (6) feet from the trunk or one half (1/2) of the drip line, which ever is greater. Within this protection zone there shall be no movement of equipment or storage of equipment, materials, debris, fill or cut unless approved by the City Forester. 6. All existing trees shalt be pruned to the city forester's 'Medium Prune Standards.- 7. Within the drip line of only protected existing tree, there shall be no cut or fill over a four —inch depth unless a qualified arborist or forester has evaluated and approved the disturbance. 8. During the construction stage of development, the applicant shall prevent the cleoning of equipment or material or the storage or disposal of waste material such as paints, oils, solvents, asphalt, concrete, motor oil or any other material hormful to the life of a tree, within the drip line of any protected tree or group of trees. 9. No damaging attachment, wires, signs or permits may be fastened to any protected tree. 10. A free permit must be obtained from the City Forester before any trees or shrubs are planted, transplanted, pruned or removed on City right—of—way. 11. A tree —transplanting plan shall be submitted to the City Forester prior to transplanting any trees shown on the landscape plan from city right—of—way. This plan shall identify the method of transplanting, timing, locations and and after care. 12. No excavation will be allowed within 7 feet of the center of any trees. 13. Contact City Forester prior to construction regarding tree protection. 14. Mitigation trees to be approved by the City Forester as to species, size and location. PLANT LIST PLANT NOTES 1. AN plant material shall meet specifications of the American Association of Nurserymen, (AAN) for number one grade. All trees shall be balled and budapped or equivalent. 2. Tres shall not be planted closer than 4 feet to any gas or electric line and no closer than 6 feat to arty water or sewer line.
