BEING AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE VACATION
OF CERTAIN ALLEYS IN STEELE'S SUBDIVISION OF
TRACT 5 OF EMIGH'S SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, the plat of Blocks One and Two of Steele's Subdivisbn
of Tract 5 of Emigh's Subdivision of the South half of the Southeast quarter
of Section Fourteen, Township Seven North, Range Sixty-nine West of the Sixth
P.M. in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, recorded in the office of the County
Clerk and Recorder of Larimer County shows certain alleys contained in said
blocks; and
WHEREAS, the owners of the lots in the above mentioned blocks
abutting on said alleys have petitioned the Council of the City of Fort
Collins to cause the same to be vacated; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said alleys have never been opened to
the use of the public, that the City of Fort Collins has never expended any
public funds upon said alleys, and that said alleys are not needed for any
public purpose; and
WHEREAS, it further appears that the rights of the inhabitants of
the City of Fort Collins will in no way be prejudiced or injured by the
vacation of said alleys;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS:
Section 1. That certain alleys, more particularly described as
follows, to -wit:
The alley lying North of Lots 1,2, and 3 in Block 1
of Steele's Subdivision of Tract No, 5 of Emigh's
Subdivision of S-g of SE'; of Section 14, Township 7
North, Range 69 West of the 6th P.M., in the City of
Fort Collins, Colorado, more particularly described
as being contained within boundary lines beginning
at the t,E corner of Lot 1 in block 1 of said Steele's
Subdivision and running thence North 2U feet, to the
SE corner of Lot 4 in :lock 1 of said Steele's Scl)division
thence hest 140 feet, to the SW corner of Lot 4 in
;lock 1 of said Steele's Subdivisior, thence South 20
feet to the Nt•7 corner of Lot 3 in said Steele's
:Subdivision, and thence Fast 140 feet, to the point of
beginning; and the alley lying North of lots 1, 2, and
3 in iAock 2 of Steele's Subdivision of Tract No. 5 of
Emigh's Subdivision of the S'= of SE of Section 14,
Township 7 North, Range 69 `Kest of the 6th Y.M.
in the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, more
particularly described as being contained within
boundary lines beginning at the NE corner of Lot
1 in Block 2 of said Steele's Subdivision and
running thence North 20 feet, to the SE corner of
Lot 4 in Block 2 of said Steele's Subdivision thence
West 143.4 feet, to the S[:' corner of Lot 4 in Block 2
of said Steele's Subdivision, thence South 20 feet, to
the NW corner of tot 3 in Block 2 of said Steele's
Subdivision, and thence East 143.4 feet, to the point
of beginning;
be and the same are hereby vacated, abolished and abated.
Introduced, considered favorably on first reading, and ordered
published this 22nd day of January, A. D. 1959, and to be presented for
final passage on February 26, 1959.

Subdivision of Tract 5 of Emigh's Subdivision in the City
