Dear Mr. Bingman:
I am writing this letter as a formal request that the city
vacate the alley between my house at 914 Sycamore, and my
neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Green's house at 908 Sycamore. This
portion of alley hasn't been used by the city for many years
and is currently planted with grass and shrubs which Mr. and
Mrs. Green and I maintain. Furthermore, the alley is useless
to the city as it runs directly into Arthur's Ditch, and there
is no alley on the other side of the ditch. A legal description
of 4�my property is as follows:
That portion of the East 55.0 feet of Lots 17 and 18
in Block 305, Capitol Hill Addition to the City of Fort
Collins, lying South and West of the Arthur Ditch as
now constructed, Larimer County, Colorado.
Mr. and Mrs. Green's property lies on the other side of the alley,
directly east. Could you please advise me as to whether the
city can or will vacate this alley and what procedures must be
undertaken?
