Minimum distance is 3 feet off the curb face but in this instance, I would recommend even more distance, since it is an area where all the vehicles will be turning, thus increasing the risk of the hydrant being hit by a vehicle. If the location cannot be changed, bollards must be installed in an approved manner. The fire hvdrant was moved to a location 5' off of all curbs.
