Subject: Carriage House Apartment concerns
Ms. Levingston,
We own a home in the Hill Pond/Sheely addition neighborhood just south of CSU. We are very
concerned about the negative impacts the proposed Carriage House Apartment complex poses to our
area. The three-story design housing 150 people is not compatible with the single-family residences
and small businesses nearby. There is inadequate parking planned. The development is just too big
for the proposed lot.
The homes and businesses in this area do not now have such density or intensity of use. Lack of a
professional management plan is another huge negative for the neighbors and the city's first
responders. This proposal may be beneficial to the developer's bottom line, but is this the only metric
our planners are interested in any more? It sure seems that way to me.
