I am writing to state my concerns of the new development fpr
1301 So. Shields.
My first concern is the heighth of the buildings. We have
no three staryy buildings nortYj. south, east, or west of the
site. The present buildings are all either single or two story
I feel very strongly that Mr. Bailey should make his buildings
two story. He has not cooperated with us in presenting a more
detailed plans for landscaping to see if it ties in with this area.
At our first meeting he said he would have professional manage-
ment.Now he says he will not have on site -management. A complex
that size definitely needs management at all times.
The curve on Springfield Dr. is no place for the entrancd.
That should be in the center of the comples on Springfield.'
Parking is a big concern of mine. He should provide?pa-rking
for. his tenants. At the present, the street is lined with
cars on both sides half way to De1Mar There are many walkers
and bikers on this street. I KNOW, I have lived here for 47 years.
I gets more every year.It is a problem for me in backing out
of my driveway.
Lastly, there should be some type of a noise buffer placed
along the west and southplus a high fence.
I certainly appreciate your help and concern for our neighbor-
hood.
