Subject: Shields and Springfield Project
Dear Ms. Levingston,
As a property owner on Bennett Rd I am one of many concerned citizens regarding the housing
project in question at the intersection of Shields and Springfield. I was one of several involved in
trying to cooperate with the applicant, Mr Bailey, in reaching a mutual agreement on what kind of
development this would be. Many of us have had very negative interactions with the applicant and
question his integrity and sincerity. With that said here are a few concerns I have with this project.
The neighborhood feels that the height of the buildings should be limited to two stories to be
compatible with the area.
Additional landscape buffer and sound barriers should be established to the south and west of the
project.
Twenty-four hour in house management is requested.
The driveway and trash needs to be away or buffered from existing neighbors.
Sufficient on site parking to at least meet the current code provisions to similar developments.
I appreciate your effort and please understand that many in this immediate neighborhood are on the
vulnerable side of being very old and very young. My main concern is the safety and quality of life for
the existing neighbors.
