Re: Harmony Duct Bank Phase 2 – Change Order 2
Dear Ms. McTague:
Exponential Engineering Company (EEC) is requesting a change order to provide
the City of Fort Collins with additional professional engineering services for the
Harmony Duct Bank Phase 2 project.
EEC proposes the following not to exceed price agreement for the scope listed herein
as follows:

Harmony Duct Bank Phase 2: Change Order 2 $17,760
The price provided is for the work scope outlined in this letter only. Any work outside
of this scope will be considered extra and negotiated with the City of Fort Collins.
Scope of Work:
1. Base Map Survey (Section 5): Lat40 will survey new pothole and elevation
information as required by the modified vault locations and duct bank routing.
EEC will coordinate potholing and pothole survey. Lat40 will coordinate traffic
control.
2. Base Map Profile Drawings (Section 5): Lat40 will create new profile drawings
as required for the reroute onto the travel lane of Harmony Road from west
of Timberline Road to the western edge of the Union Pacific Railroad
easement. New elevation information will be surveyed as required by the
modified route in areas not previously surveyed.
3. Line Route Modification Plan and Profile Drawings (Section 5): Provide
modified duct bank route and vault locations as required for reroute onto
travel lane of Harmony Road from west of Timberline Road to the western
edge of the Union Pacific Railroad easement. Rerouting will include office
and field investigation and modifications of route as required by the utility
locates for construction in new route. Add the new electrical infrastructure to
the base map plan and profile drawings provided by Lat40.

4. Railroad Crossing Permitting – Assist with creation and submittal of
permitting package for Union Pacific Railroad crossing. This includes
preparation of modified drawings specific to the crossing, preparation of
required forms, and interpretation of requirements relevant to engineering
and design.
Harmony Duct Bank Phase 1 and 2 Items Not Included in Scope of Work:
1. Utility locates for potholing and construction will be ordered by Colorado
Boring Company.
2. Colorado Boring Company will provide potholing services. The potholes used
for engineering will also be used for construction.
