Mason Street, Second Floor Fort Collins, Colorado 80522 Re: Proposal No. 8007 On behalf of Publication Printers, I am respectfully submitting a proposal for printing and distribution services for the City of Fort Collins Recreation Guide, the “Recreator”. I acknowledge having received the Addendum No. 1 containing questions and answers. This proposal includes pricing as requested in the Request for Proposal, an estimate detailing the specifications of the job, a list of references, contact information and the following response to the evaluation criteria being considered in the selection process. Scope of Proposal Every effort was made to gain a complete understanding of the specifications and job requirements for producing and distributing the “Recreator” catalog on a quarterly basis. Using the guidelines contained in the RFP and the follow up Addendum #1 the proposal being submitted is thorough and correct. Assigned Personnel Personnel assigned to this project will be your sales/service representative, account manager, project manager and supervisors in prepress, pressroom, bindery, mailing and shipping departments. Because this type of project is familiar to all the mentioned individuals and departments, it will benefit from the collective capability of all departments. Our production staff is highly trained and competent in their areas of production. Only the most experienced individuals are in managerial or supervisory positions. As Colorado’s largest and premier web offset printer, we employ exceptionally qualified production team members. Throughout the plant, this job will have the attention of a sufficient number of trained personnel with the goal of producing a high quality product in a timely manner. Your sales representative will meet with the heads of these departments to relate the necessary components of this job. In addition to the sales representative, your account manager is readily available to discuss the specifics of the job, your needs or questions as required. Availability The proposed timetable, both the target start date and completion date, can readily be met by our production team. Our plant operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week with fully-staffed multiple shifts. The flow of communication between departments is efficient and the individuals assigned to this job are available to meet whenever needed to discuss the scope of services involved. Motivation Publication Printers welcomes the opportunity to produce and distribute the “Recreator” for the City of Ft. Collins. Some of our current Recreation Guides we produce are for the cities of Highlands Ranch, Greeley, Castle Rock, Aurora, Meeker, Denver (City Park Recreation) as well as Recreation Land Guides for the Colorado Division of Wildlife. Beginning January 2015 we will be printing the Recreation Guide for the City of Greenwood Village. Samples and/or contact information is available if desired. Cost and Work Hours Our bidding system is designed to create competitively priced bids with realistic consideration for the time required to produce and distribute a customer’s print job. The proposal being submitted should compare quite favorable with other solicited proposals. Firm Capability Our 35 year reputation is based on superior printing and attention to customer service at all stages of a customer’s job. Our equipment is the best available today and is operated at its full potential by our highly trained staff. Our six Goss M-600 Web Presses have the capacity to run 32 pages in one pass with up to 50,000 impressions per hour. With automatic plate changers, our make ready time is efficient and quick, giving our customers the fastest turnaround time possible. We utilize Graphic Micro-color Color Quick and Closed Loop Ink Systems to keep color consistent. Our in-house bindery has state of the art Goss and Mueller Martini saddle stitchers and perfect binders. Publication Printers is the second largest mailer of publications in the state of Colorado, second only to the United States Postal Service. Our in-house mailing department utilizes a full-time USPS employee at our plant to verify all mail and to ensure it enters the mail stream correctly and seamlessly. With a dependable fleet of delivery vehicles and strong partnering with Fed Ex and other over- the-road carriers, customers’ jobs are shipped when promised and arrive in good condition. In addition to the Recreation Guides listed above, our magazines and catalogs consistently represent the best printing available anywhere.
