HomeMy WebLinkAboutCORRESPONDENCE - AGREEMENT MISC - HAMILTON LINEN SUPPLY (3)1 Louisa Liu From: Ed Bonnette Sent: Monday, July 08, 2013 9:14 AM To: Louisa Liu Cc: Ed Bonnette Subject: FW: cancellation letter Louisa, Can you please file this in CityDocs under Correspondence for the Hamilton Linen contract (it’s the Linen Supplier through 2010 one). Lincoln Center has cancelled service with them; but they remain the supplier for the Senior Center under the current City contract. And, as far as I know CSU still plans to re-bid this in October or November 2013; after which time I will likely do another contract for Kelly at Senior Center to continue to piggyback off CSU’s pricing with one of the warded vendors for 2014 onward. Thanks, Ed From: Ed Bonnette Sent: Monday, July 08, 2013 9:00 AM To: David Dale Cc: Ed Bonnette Subject: RE: cancellation letter Good Morning Dave, Thanks for the heads-up; I figured you guys probably had things sorted out by now. I wanted to make sure that they don’t stop service to Senior Center; far as I know Kelly intends to continue with Hamilton on the piggyback on the CSU contract as the colors aren’t an issue for her. Ed From: David Dale Sent: Monday, July 08, 2013 8:50 AM To: Ed Bonnette Subject: RE: cancellation letter Ed, We stopped using them back on 6-18. I called Felix and told him the week after I initially spoke to you and I asked Joaquin to not deliver again as we have no location for storage of two separate deliveries of Linen. So…we are all good on my end. Thanks, 2 Dave Dale Events Coordinator City of Fort Collins, Lincoln Center (970) 416-2188 www.lctix.com Click here to tell me about my service...I'd love to know! From: Ed Bonnette Sent: Monday, July 08, 2013 8:43 AM To: David Dale; Felix Quezada Jr. (felixquezada@hamiltonlinen.com); Kelly Meyer Cc: Ed Bonnette Subject: RE: cancellation letter Good Morning Felix, Yes; Dave told me that he intends to cancel service from Hamilton to the Lincoln Center. The need for additional colors has gotten to the point where it was no longer practical for him to continue with two linen services. FYI; the City’s contract in section 4 Early Termination by City calls for the following: “Such notice shall be delivered at least fifteen (15) days prior to the termination date contained in said notice unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties.” Other than that; I will leave it to you and Dave to determine any changeover dates. Let me know if anything I can do to help with that process. Felix, I just want to confirm that this does not affect service provided for Kelly Meyer for the Senior Center. As far as I’m aware Kelly’s needs are different from Dave’s for the Lincoln Center (i.e., a different customer base) and she plans to continue using Hamilton under the current contract. When CSU re-bids this fall we will see what happens from there; but assuming that Hamilton attains another award from CSU for 2014 forward she will most likely elect to piggyback on that one as well. Kelly, can you confirm if that’s the case? This is the vendor acknowledging back that he’s OK with it. The way you put that other one in there was perfect ☺ Thanks, Ed From: Felix Quezada Jr. [mailto:felixquezada@hamiltonlinen.com] Sent: Friday, July 12, 2013 8:05 AM To: Ed Bonnette Subject: RE: cancelation letter Hi Ed, Hope your summer is going well.. I did speak to Dave about the cancellation, and understand his motivation. It seems as though the cancellation happened a little sooner than we talked about. With that being said, I don’t have an issue with it. We have appreciated the business with the city of Ft. Collins, and would welcome the chance for more opportunities. The cancelation at Lincoln Center will not in any way effect the attention or service to the Senior Center. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.. Dave tells me he stopped getting deliveries from Hamilton back on June 18. Kelly Meyer at Senior Center wants Hamilton to continue service to her; and will likely elect to continue if you get a bid award from CSU for 2014 when they re-bid this fall (as I understand from Kathi LaFollette At CSU is their intention). Can you please let me know. I told Dave by the contract that 15 days’ notice prior to termination is called out; so I want to verify that’s been done properly; and that Kelly will not have any service interruptions.
