Bid opening date is currently listed on Memorial Day. Is this correct? No. The bid opening date has been revised to May 31, 2017 at 3:00 PM (our clock). 2. Will the fence line be flagged ahead of time? No. After award but before work is to commence, the City and the selected Contractor will work together to identify the approximate location of the fence line. 3. Are the H-Brace quantities listed in the bid form fixed? No. The number of H-Braces listed in the bid form is an approximate and used as the basis for award. The actual number of H-braces installed in the field will be invoiced at the unit price provided in the bid. 4. Where can material be stored on site? The Contractor will be allowed to store material on site, but the City will make a determination on the exact location. 5. How should the Contractor handle digging post holes in difficult soils? Such as in washes and other gravely soils? The City will work with the Contractor to find an agreeable solution to these problems areas, such as post holes set in concrete or compacted with large stones. 6. Is there a potential to be able to start work sooner than August 1, 2017? Yes. The City is open to allowing the Contractor to begin work earlier, but the City will need to coordinate with other grazing uses on the land. The City will negotiate the revised start date with the awarded Contractor.
