HIGHLIGHTS OF GENERAL CONDITIONS
• Haul Routes
Should maintain Arterial and Collector Streets ONLY.
Contractor will not be allowed to use Residential Streets
to access the site.
■ Site Clean Up
The construction work shall be kept and accomplished in
a neat, clean and orderly fashion
Street sweeping may be required in order to minimize
vehicle tracking and to meet EPA storm water quality
requirements

Contractor Responsibilities:
Maintain vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic at all
times. ALL detours for ALL modes of transportation shall
be approved by the City prior to construction.
Maintain / coordinate access to all local businesses.
Review all upcoming lane closure needs and /or changes
in traffic control set up at Weekly Progress Meetings
Traffic Control Plans need to be submitted to the City
seven (7) days prior to setup

■ Contractor Responsibilities:
Erosion Control in accordance with Sheets 31-32
The Contractor is responsible for maintaining and
repairing all erosion control devices throughout the
project
Contractor will designate a SWMP Administrator prior to
the start of construction. The SWMP Administrator will
conduct weekly inspections, post storm event reports and
submit a signed, log of activity weekly to the City.

HIGHLIGHTS OF GENERAL CONDITION
■ Lane Rental
— 65 calendar days of single lane closures for Drake and
Shields Street
— 25 single land closures for the Davidson / Raintree Drive
intersection and adjacent ramps.
— A lane rental is defined as any single lane closure and
each individual lane drop is considered one lane closure.
— Note conditions that will NOT be measured as lane rental
days on page 12

HIGHLIGHTS OF GENERAL CONDITIONS
■ Superintendents
The General Contractor SHALL employ a full time
superintendent whose sole responsibility is to monitor and
coordinate all facets of the work.
■ Fugitive Dust -
project will be required to follow all applicable requirements
of COFC dust mitigation policy.
HIGHLIGHTS OF GENERAL. CONDITIONS
■ Substantial Completion - Defined
Substantial Completion is defined as completion and
acceptance of the following items as awarded by
alternative: removals, embankment, sidewalk, curb &
gutter, median improvements, curb ramps and inlet, asphalt
(top mat), topsoil import and slope grading.
• Liquidated Damages — Substantial Completion
If the Contractor goes past the 65 calendar days for
substantial completion, damages in the amount of Fourteen
Hundred Dollars ($1400.00) for each calendar day will be
assessed.
HIGHLIGHTS3 OF GENERAL CONDITIONS
■ Final Acceptance - Defined
• Final Acceptance is defined as landscape wall, final grading,
irrigation system restoration, planting, removal of tree
protection removal of erosion control devices (to the extent
approved), completed punch list items, erosion control items
removed, site clean-up and demobilization.
■ Liquidated Damages — Final Acceptance
If the Contractor goes past the 10 calendar days for final
completion, damages in the amount of Fourteen Hundred
Dollars ($1400.00) for each calendar day will be assessed.

Standard Working Hours are from 7:00am to 3:30pm
Monday through Friday
Weekend Work and / or Extended Hours Work may be
granted. Requests for either must be made in Writing a
minimum of 72 hours in advance. Requests are subject
to approval by the City of Fort Collins.
