Work Order: City Hall ADA Parking
DESCRIPTION
This task order requires ADA parking improvements at City Hall Building A. Farnsworth Group, Inc. will
provide professional architectural (project management), surveying, and civil engineering services in
support of the City. Scope of the Project and/or Tasks will be defined by the agreement and this task
order scope.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Our scope of services includes an approach within the parameters set forth by the Master Agreement and
the tasks identified within this proposal. Our scope is further based upon the information including areas
and limits as identified at the site visit with City personnel on June 14, 2018. This project generally
involves relocating two existing handicap parking stalls closer to the main City Hall (Building A) entrance
near the existing van-accessible handicap stall. A new ADA sidewalk ramp will be retrofitted into the
existing sidewalk. The three handicap parking spaces shall be reconstructed with concrete pavement.
Farnsworth Group will prepare a topographic survey of the project locations and preparing civil
engineering design drawings for the proposed improvements.
All work outside of these parameters will be considered a change in services. Any scope of service
changes will be discussed with the City to determine an appropriate adjustment of the fees prior to
execution. The Scope of Services includes the following:
1. Design/Documentation
• Prepare a topographic survey of the project areas identified above. The survey will include
parking striping, top of curb, flowline of gutter, grade breaks, landscape areas, and visible surface
features. The survey will not be tied to City horizontal and vertical control datum.
• Prepare preliminary civil construction drawings delineating the proposed ADA improvements for
City review. The construction drawings will include a cover sheet/vicinity map, site/grading plan,
and site details.
• Attend one (1) “over-the-shoulder” review meeting with the City staff to receive comments prior to
finalizing the design.
• Incorporate City comments and prepare final construction drawings.
• Assist the City in responding to general construction related RFI’s or correspondence.
DELIVERABLES
• Preliminary construction drawings in PDF format.
• Final construction drawing in PDF and AutoCAD format.
DESIGN TEAM
The Design Team selected for this project includes the following members:
Architectural: Julie Sass, AIA Farnsworth Group, Inc.
Survey: Dave Berglund, PLS Farnsworth Group, Inc.
Civil: Ted Barela, PE Farnsworth Group, Inc.
SCHEDULE
The schedule for the scope of work identified is to be completed as follows beginning after notice to
proceed:
• Topographic Survey: 1-week
• Preliminary Submittal: 2-weeks after survey
• Review meeting: 1-week after preliminary submittal
• Final Submittal: 2-weeks after review meeting
CLARIFICATIONS
The following services, items or components have been excluded from this Proposal.:
• Additional meetings or other meetings beyond those provided herein are excluded.
• Front-end, bidding or other City specific specifications or document preparation are excluded. It is
assumed these will be handled by the assigned City project manager.
• Bidding services are excluded.
• Additional design and/or review milestones, verification/review processes, or reporting are
excluded.
• Preparing technical sitework specifications are excluded. It is assumed that City standards and
construction specifications will be referenced by the City’s general contractor.
• Utility locating services are excluded.
• Utility design is excluded.
• Traffic control plans are excluded.
• Drainage reports are excluded.
• Construction staking is excluded.
FEES
Farnsworth Group proposes to provide the described services for the fixed-fee amounts shown below.
Changes to the scope of services and/or additional normal reimbursable expenses may increase or
decrease this amount. Any scope of service changes will be discussed with City prior to execution.

Work Order: Downtown Transit Center (DTC) ADA Access
DESCRIPTION
This task order requires ADA pedestrian access improvements at the Downtown Transit Center (DTC).
Farnsworth Group, Inc. will provide professional architectural (project management), surveying, and civil
engineering services in support of the City. Scope of the Project and/or Tasks will be defined by the
agreement and this task order scope.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Our scope of services includes an approach within the parameters set forth by the Master Agreement and
the tasks identified within this proposal. Our scope is further based upon the information including areas
and limits as identified at the site visit with City personnel on June 14, 2018. This project generally
involves ADA pedestrian access improvements at the City DTC. A designated ADA pedestrian access
shall be provided generally from the Max bus drop-off located on the east side of N. Mason Street up to
the existing ADA ramp located on the SW side of the DTC building. Signage ADA wayfinding shall be
provided along the ADA access route. Furthermore, truncated domes shall be provided per City code
where the pedestrian access crosses the bus drive lanes. The grades along the access route shall be
verified (and corrected if applicable) for conformance with current codes. Lastly, the existing sidewalk
ramp located at the NW side of the building shall be reconstructed to allow a minimum 36” ADA
accessible space on the east side of the walk. All new concrete shall be colored or stamped to match
existing hard surfaces. Farnsworth Group will prepare a topographic survey of the project locations and
