The Fort Collins Utilities (FCU) requested adjustments to the approach including reducing the number of models and the using revised explanatory variables for future prediction. RTI will use the GIS-based Master Table and other tools to process the data and develop the demand estimation model with the direction provided by FCU. This Change Order includes additional scope of work and estimated budget to support these two activities. Changes from Original Scope of Work Task 2 - FUTURE WATER DEMAND CONSIDERATIONS (Additional Scope) RTI will process the water use data and explanatory variables selected by FCU for the revised version of the demand estimation tool. RTI will use the GIS-based Master Table and other tools to process the data and develop the demand estimation model. RTI will work with FCU through the process of processing the data and model development to assure the revised version provides the staff confidence to move forward with generating the demand scenarios for the Water Supply Vulnerability Study. For the revised version of the tool, RTI will perform the following tasks: • Gathering and processing model data into the database. This includes the new data suggested and new groups (models). • Adjusting the queries to include new info, including county data linked with master table. • Developing the new models based on FCU direction provided (i.e., multi-regression analysis with new variables) • Implementing the new model structure and coefficients in the database/dashboard • Implementing the demand estimation tool for building scenarios, including revising data feeds, model knobs and calculations. • Presenting the preliminary results and beta tool to FCU. • Performing one iteration of revisions. • Revised the documentation/user manual (or TM) with the new models, development approach and application. A ‘like year’ approach will be implemented to re-sequence the historical values into new model input time series that reflect demands and inflows for the new simulated conditions. Budget Table 1 shows the additional required hours and the budget for the additional tasks. Additional project management time to process the change order and the subconsultant markup are included in the budget. The total of the requested change order is $21,097.
