RE: 2018 Transfort Bus Stop Installation Project
Dear Melina:
Thank you for the opportunity to present this proposal for Project/Construction Management services for the 2018
Transfort Bus Stop Installation Project.
This scope of work follows on our recent discussions regarding the need for installation and upgrades to several
Transfort Bus Stops located throughout Fort Collins in 2018. Transfort has funding to upgrade around 35 bus stops
this year with design expected early in the spring/summer and construction occurring late summer/fall. Attached
please find a detailed scope of work and task breakdown for our services. We plan to provide design, prioritization,
contracting and easement acquisition assistance. It is our understanding the City Engineering Department will
manage the construction phase.
Thank you again for this opportunity. We look forward to a successful project!
Please let me know if you have any questions or require further information regarding this proposal. I can be reached
by phone at 970.988.8605 and email keith.meyer@ditescoservices.com.
Sincerely,
Keith Meyer, P.E.

Transfort Bus Stop Installation
Project/Construction Management
Scope of Services
Project Understanding
In 2018, Transfort anticipates upgrading 35 bus stops to meet current route and new design standards. These bus
stops are spread throughout Fort Collins along major routes of travel.
This scope of services is meant to provide project management assistance to prioritize, design, create construction
contracts and facilitate easement acquisition for up to 42 bus pad locations. A specific goal of the project is to
construct bus stops that could accommodate, at minimum, a bench or shelter to Transfort’s standards.
Phase: Project Management
• Ditesco staff will meet with City and Transfort personnel to finalize the bus stop installation list for the top 35
stops to be constructed in 2018.
• Our team will review each location in the field for installation standards, ADA compliance and design
development.
• We will coordinate with City’s real estate department to resolve any real estate or easement issues that may
be present. For the purposes of this proposal, we have assumed 12 locations will require some sort of land
acquisition. We have allowed time and cost for King Surveyors to assist with land research, easement
identification, easement descriptions and exhibits for up to 12 stop locations.
• Ditesco staff will coordinate meetings with Transfort staff to engage private property owners as necessary to
facilitate bus stop installation and property acquisition.
• We will develop a CPM schedule to manage the acquisition and design phases.
• Our staff will develop design concepts for each stop that may require specific grading or pad design to ensure
ADA compliance. We envision this to be template based for each location to accommodate the type of bench
or shelter identified in the prioritization matrix.
• Ditesco staff will prepare work order contracts with the City’s on-call concrete flatwork contractor. We have
estimated up to 4 work orders for the list of stops (depending on work order limits).
Phase: Construction Management
• Ditesco staff will coordinate one transition meeting to “hand-off” the project to City Engineering staff. Ditesco
will not provide construction management or inspection during this phase.
• Our staff will be available to assist City Engineering with field engineering issues that may arise. We will
answer questions and provide clarifications as needed.
• Ditesco will not provide construction administration of the work order contracts. This work will be done by
the City of Fort Collins Engineering Department.
Deliverables
• Deliverables will include: all project documentation developed during the course of the preconstruction phase
including copies of work orders, correspondence, easement and design documents, etc. All project
documentation will be provided electronically on an external drive.
