To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described above,
the following changes/additions are hereby made and detailed in the following sections of this
addendum:

EXHIBIT 1 –QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. What is the City’s revised completion target date range?
The City of Fort Collins is flexible on the target completion date, but we envision
early to mid-summer.
2. Is weekend work allowed?
Yes, weekend work will be allowed. All weekend work will be monitored by Facilities
Project Manager or security personnel.
3. Is it possible to provide make/model of the vehicles being cleaned?
• Gillig Phantom - 35’, 40’, and 29’ Low Floor.
• N.A.B.I. LFW CNG – 30’, 35’, 40’ and 60’ Articulated buses.
4. How many vehicles do you expect in a typical year?
7,000 vehicles per year is typical, but might increase in the upcoming years.
5. How large is the water reclamation pit?
50” x 42” x 66”.
6. Does the City have a specific target % for reclaimed water?
No.
7. Does the City want to consider hot water?
No.
8. Is the 2” line on the South side of the bus wash the water supply? If so, how would we
handle back-flow preventer install?
Yes, this is the bus wash water supply. The City will provide and install a backflow
preventer.
9. What is the incoming wash line for wash bay and what is the PSI?
2”. Approximately 55-60 PSI.
10. What is the generator power?
The generator does not supply any power to the bus wash building, it is just housed
in that space.
11. Does the City want to re-use the existing guardrails?
The City has no problem re-using the guardrails, but wants vendors to propose
what would work best with their wash system.

12. What are the dimensions of the sump pit?
36” x 80” x 42” deep.
13. Are there gas utility services to the building?
Yes.
14. Does the City of Ft. Collins want a wash system that features brushes and some high-
pressure undercarriage or does the City want a touch free high pressure cleaning system?
The City does not want a touch free system.
15. Will the City accept multiple bids from the same vendor – for example: a bid with brushes
and a bid with touch free cleaning only?
The City requests vendors to submit a “base price” quote with additive or alternate
pricing.
16. Should bids include line items showing cost for options such as undercarriage, drying
system, spot free rinse?
Yes.
17. What permits are required for this project?
The Contractor will need to coordinate with City of Fort Collins Building Department
on required permits.
18. What drawings will be required for this project?
The Contractor will need to coordinate with City of Fort Collins Building Department
on required drawings required for permits. Otherwise, we will require as-built
record drawings of the bus wash system.
19. How much of the storage room at the wash entrance will be made available for permanent
placement of wash equipment?
This room is mostly for hanging the electronic controls on the wall only, minor
exceptions can be discussed.
20. Is a bid bond required with vendor response to RFP?
No.
21. Is the City of Ft. Collins requiring a licensed General Contractor to oversee the project?
The Contractor will need to coordinate with City of Fort Collins Building Department
on required contractor licenses.

The City plans to relocate the existing electrical panel to Storage Room 132. See included
drawing.
