SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Description of BID 8519: Maple Hill Neighborhood Park

To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described above,
the following changes/additions are hereby made and detailed in the following sections of this
addendum:

Exhibit 2 – CAD Drawings (uploaded in a separate .zip folder named "8519 Add 1 -
Exhbit 2")

EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. Will there be a pond liner?
Yes, it is called out as a 30 Mil RPE. See detail 2, sheet WS-6
2. Will water be made available during construction to the General Contractor?
Yes, water is available at the fire hydrant. Please note, the contractor is
responsible for temporary utilities, see 01510 Temp Utilities 1.02 Water
3. How should the play area be left?
General Contractor shall provide underdrain, site grading, safety surfacing, and
survey in all safety fall zones. GC must coordinate scheduling with playground
installer.
4. Will the CAD files be provided?
Yes, see Exhibit 2.
5. Are there any Davis Bacon Act requirements?
No
6. What water source feeds the pond?
The Baker Lateral runs North-South along Turnberry. This is the raw water
delivery system that this project ties into and it feeds the irrigation storage
pond.
7. What is the domestic water system?
ELCO water provides the domestic and feeds the restrooms. It is already tapped
and stubbed into the site.
8. Does the water line boring start in the MH out at Turnberry?
Yes, the raw water feed line connects at the MH and then is bored into the park
site. Layout and boring information is called out on sheets C-5, and WS-0, WS-1,
and WS-2.
9. Is a chain link fence required?
No, but the contractor is responsible for site security. The City does not dictate
the means, but requires the contractor to maintain a safe site.
10. Can the parking lane be closed?
Yes, the City will work with the neighbors and COFC Traffic to provide adequate
access and parking for the construction site.
11. What are the work hours?
The construction site is in a residential neighborhood adjacent to homes,
contractor work hours (7am – 6pm) are called out in section 01500 1.01 Noise
Control.

12. Will the City accept plant materials substitutions?
The City will work with the contractor to obtain the best plant materials for the
landscape plantings. If a species are not available, we will work to provide
alternates.
13. Will forestry inspect the trees?
Yes, forestry will inspect plant materials.
