To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described above,
the following changes/additions are hereby made and detailed in the following sections of this
addendum:

beginning on page 262 are more complete. So, we would suggest that these required
forms be filled out and executed only once and thus not run the risk of duplication or

In addition to the bus achieving normal operation in ambient temperatures ranges of
-30 degrees to 120 degrees F, it would be very helpful for CFC-Transfort to provide a
limiting ambient temperature (LAT) that it desires for operating buses at 6,000 feet
elevation.

torque):
1) 0-20 mph - 8.1 seconds

The 32’ CNG bus being proposed has a maximum SCF of 13,180 (4-tank
arrangement) owing to space limitations on the roof and, this SCF will achieve an
operating range of approximately 200-250 miles on the specified duty cycle. The 35’
and 40’ CNG buses will achieve the specified 350 mile operating range. Please
approve.

that the rear towing devices will permit lifting and towing of the bus for short distances,
such as in cases of an emergency, to allow access to provision for front towing of the
bus.

Since all of the buses intending to be proposed for this RFP will have 12V/24V
electrical with a 24V equalizer, it is recommended that the jump start connector be a

This particular ALTERNATIVE for jump-start connector requires the connector to be
located next to the battery disconnect switch but, there is a requirement on the
previous page 118 for the jump-start connector to be located in the engine
compartment. Does CFC-Transfort require two (2) jump-start connectors or just one
(1) jump-start connector. Please understand that, for the buses to be proposed, the
battery disconnect switch is located in a separate compartment that is outside of the
engine compartment.

It is understood that the equipment in Table 9 Alternative Required Equipment is only
to be applied to those member agencies that may choose to purchase buses off a
contract awarded under RFP 8446. That being said, please confirm if those buses to
be purchased by member agencies are to be outfitted with both a 1:6 w/c ramp in the
front door and a 1:4 w/c ramp in the rear door or, just a 1:6 w/c ramp in the front door
OR a 1:4 w/c ramp in the rear door (i.e. front door or rear door but, not both).

If this particular form for Acknowledgment of Alternative Required Equipment is
referring to the form found on page 204 which is titled Table 9 Alternative Required
Equipment, this form on page 204 does not have any provision for acknowledging the
alternative required equipment. There is another form found on page 255 and titled
CER 6. Acknowledgment of City of Fort Collins Required Equipment and, it does have
provision for the Proposer to acknowledge compatibility but, this form seems to only
be applicable for required equipment. Please clarify.

This acknowledgment of CFC required equipment states that the Luminator sign
system is to include a rear run sign but, TS 80 Destination Signs on page 177 states
that the destination sign system shall be furnished on the front and on the right side
near the front door. Please clarify whether or not a rear run sign is required with the
Base Vehicle or, the rear run sign to be treated as an option. If the rear run sign is an
option, please revise the Price Proposal Form-Additional Options accordingly.

brake on all axles but, TS 35.4 Hubs and Drums/Discs states that the bus shall be
equipped with disc brakes on all axles Please clarify whether disc brakes are
required in the Base Vehicle Cost or, are drum brakes required in the Base Vehicle
Cost. If disc brakes are required in the Base Vehicle Cost, please either replace the
disc brake option with drum brakes or, delete the disc brake option in its entirety.
