Q: Can I submit multiple proposals for different furniture lines? A: No, you may only submit one complete proposal. 2. Q: Will installation occur during normal business hours? A: Yes 3. Q: Is there a loading dock? A: Yes 4. Q: Is the vendor responsible for removing trash and recycling from the project site? A: Yes 5. Q: Will CAD files be provided? A: No, since we are not asking for layouts as a part of this proposal, they will only be provided to the vendor that is awarded the contract. 6. Q: Will block plans be provided? A: Please see Exhibit 3. Images are intended to be used as reference only, they do not match the quantity that we are requesting in the RFP, for quantity reference page 3 of the original RFP. 7. Q: On the Base Proposal Worksheet should the list price column show the price of a single item or the total quantity? (i.e. should it show the total cost for 66 task chairs or 1 chair) A: Show the cost of a single item. (i.e. 1 task chair) 8. Q: Are all vendors required to submit an overview of the organization’s sustainability philosophy and approach or is this for new vendors only? A: This is only a requirement for new vendors that have never worked with the City before. 9. Q: Is the City perusing LEED on this project? A: While we are not perusing LEED on this remodel project, our expectation is that furniture will still follow a sustainable model. 10. Q: Will the City provide the excel spreadsheet? A: Yes. However, for your submitted proposal, it must be included within your 25 page proposal as a single document. MANUFACTURER INFO 11. Q: Can furniture solutions be mixed and matched in the proposal (i.e. one manufacturer for benching application and one manufacturer for workstations and one manufacturer for ancillary)? A: Our preference is to have a single manufacturer for all staff workstations, but we are open to having a different manufacturer at the conference room / collaboration / etc. Open manufacturers are allowed. 12. Q: Is the City locked in to a specific manufacturer? A: No, we can select from any furniture line. SIT/STAND BASE 13. Q: Does manufacturer of sit/stand base need to match the furniture manufacturer? A: No, you can substitute a manufacturer on the base 14. Q: How many motors should the sit/ stand base have; a dual or a single? A: It will depend on the solution you propose for the base and what is needed for that manufacturer. WORK STATIONS & COMPONENT CLARIFICATION 15. Q: Clarification on component “L” on page 11. What is the center beam; is this a stiffener? A: Yes, include a stiffener of the benching surfaces 16. Q: Clarification on component “N” on page 11. What length is supposed to be and does it mount to the surface? A: Length should be 72” to match the surface. It is should be mounted to the surface. 17. Q: Clarification on quantity of workstations. Numbers are different on page 3 and the worksheet. A: The numbers on page 3 are correct. The worksheet will be updated and attached with the correct numbers. 18. Q: Clarification on page 8, letter h at the top; is overhead storage to be included? A: No overhead storage in the workstations. Overhead will be included for offices. 19. Q: Should workstations be priced as individual units or with shared panels? A: Price as individual units 20. Q: Can you confirm size of adjustable table in WS-1? A: Table to be 30 x60 CO-1 21. Q: On CO-1 should stations be freestanding or panel solutions? And preference on work surface size and storage? A: We are looking for solutions from the proposing company. Any solution is fine as long as it does not mount to the wall. For proposal purposes figure a 24 x 72 work surface. Figure a mobile box file for each station. 22. Q: Should one of the workstation be utilized for CO-1? A: No, CO-1 is a separate type of furniture for this proposal. POWER 23. Q: Where is power coming from? A: There will be a mix throughout the space, for the purposes of this RFP figure on floor boxes. 24. Q: Is power the standard AC or is DC being evaluated for this project? A: AC only 25. Q: Should the conference table have power? What ports do we want to see? A: Yes it should be wired for power. We will need 1 power outlet, 2 USB ports, and 2 blanks for future wiring. 26. Q: Does WS4 need power? How should the power be supplied? A: Yes, plan to power all of the workstations. Benching application will be daisy chained together with power at surface level. Power will originate at a floor box. ALTERNATES 27. Q: Clarification on Alternate #2; what are we looking for? A: We are looking for pricing on removing 4 existing 12 x12 stations and adding furniture for 4 private offices, 4 64 square foot stations, & 8 32 square foot stations. 28. Q: Can you confirm that the alternates are adds to the base proposal and will be replacement for existing product? A: Correct, each alternate will be an add to the base proposal. LOBBY 29. Q: What are we looking for in terms of lobby furniture? A: We are looking for seating for 4 people that is professional in appearance and study in construction. We are looking for options, so if you think that 4 chairs are best for us, or 2 loveseats that is what you need to price. 30. Q: Do we need to provide side, end, or coffee tables in the lobby?
