EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
GENERAL
1. Q: Can I submit multiple proposals for different furniture lines?
A: No, you may only submit one complete proposal.
2. Q: Will installation occur during normal business hours?
A: Yes
3. Q: Is there a loading dock?
A: Yes
4. Q: Is the vendor responsible for removing trash and recycling from the project site?
A: Yes
5. Q: Will CAD files be provided?
A: No, since we are not asking for layouts as a part of this proposal, they will
only be provided to the vendor that is awarded the contract.
6. Q: Will block plans be provided?
A: Please see Exhibit 3. Images are intended to be used as reference only, they
do not match the quantity that we are requesting in the RFP, for quantity
reference page 3 of the original RFP.
7. Q: On the Base Proposal Worksheet should the list price column show the price of a
single item or the total quantity? (i.e. should it show the total cost for 66 task chairs or 1
chair)
A: Show the cost of a single item. (i.e. 1 task chair)
8. Q: Are all vendors required to submit an overview of the organization’s sustainability
philosophy and approach or is this for new vendors only?
A: This is only a requirement for new vendors that have never worked with the
City before.
9. Q: Is the City perusing LEED on this project?
A: While we are not perusing LEED on this remodel project, our expectation is
that furniture will still follow a sustainable model.
10. Q: Will the City provide the excel spreadsheet?
A: Yes. However, for your submitted proposal, it must be included within your 25
page proposal as a single document.
MANUFACTURER INFO
11. Q: Can furniture solutions be mixed and matched in the proposal (i.e. one manufacturer
for benching application and one manufacturer for workstations and one manufacturer for
ancillary)?
A: Our preference is to have a single manufacturer for all staff workstations, but
we are open to having a different manufacturer at the conference room /
collaboration / etc. Open manufacturers are allowed.
12. Q: Is the City locked in to a specific manufacturer?
A: No, we can select from any furniture line.
SIT/STAND BASE
13. Q: Does manufacturer of sit/stand base need to match the furniture manufacturer?
A: No, you can substitute a manufacturer on the base
14. Q: How many motors should the sit/ stand base have; a dual or a single?
A: It will depend on the solution you propose for the base and what is needed
for that manufacturer.
WORK STATIONS & COMPONENT CLARIFICATION
15. Q: Clarification on component “L” on page 11. What is the center beam; is this a stiffener?
A: Yes, include a stiffener of the benching surfaces
16. Q: Clarification on component “N” on page 11. What length is supposed to be and does it
mount to the surface?
A: Length should be 72” to match the surface. It is should be mounted to the
surface.
17. Q: Clarification on quantity of workstations. Numbers are different on page 3 and the
worksheet.
A: The numbers on page 3 are correct. The worksheet will be updated and
attached with the correct numbers.
18. Q: Clarification on page 8, letter h at the top; is overhead storage to be included?
A: No overhead storage in the workstations. Overhead will be included for
offices.
19. Q: Should workstations be priced as individual units or with shared panels?

A: Table to be 30 x60
CO-1
21. Q: On CO-1 should stations be freestanding or panel solutions? And preference on work
surface size and storage?
A: We are looking for solutions from the proposing company. Any solution is
fine as long as it does not mount to the wall. For proposal purposes figure a
24 x 72 work surface. Figure a mobile box file for each station.
22. Q: Should one of the workstation be utilized for CO-1?
A: No, CO-1 is a separate type of furniture for this proposal.
POWER
23. Q: Where is power coming from?
A: There will be a mix throughout the space, for the purposes of this RFP figure
on floor boxes.
24. Q: Is power the standard AC or is DC being evaluated for this project?
A: AC only

A: Yes it should be wired for power. We will need 1 power outlet, 2 USB ports,
and 2 blanks for future wiring.
26. Q: Does WS4 need power? How should the power be supplied?
A: Yes, plan to power all of the workstations. Benching application will be daisy
chained together with power at surface level. Power will originate at a floor
box.
ALTERNATES
27. Q: Clarification on Alternate #2; what are we looking for?
A: We are looking for pricing on removing 4 existing 12 x12 stations and adding
furniture for 4 private offices, 4 64 square foot stations, & 8 32 square foot
stations.
28. Q: Can you confirm that the alternates are adds to the base proposal and will be
replacement for existing product?
A: Correct, each alternate will be an add to the base proposal.
LOBBY
29. Q: What are we looking for in terms of lobby furniture?
A: We are looking for seating for 4 people that is professional in appearance and
study in construction. We are looking for options, so if you think that 4 chairs
are best for us, or 2 loveseats that is what you need to price.
30. Q: Do we need to provide side, end, or coffee tables in the lobby?
A: Supply what you think will best meet our need in the lobby.
