EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. Besides 215 N. Mason, Utilities Admin and Police Services are there any other facilities
requiring a boom lift?
Answer - Museum of Discovery & 222 LaPorte
2. Which facilities do you require rappelling if any?
Answer - we discussed that we have no facilities that will require rappelling as a
means to clean them. Poles/ladders and lifts are the means we require for
cleaning of any facility windows. Also anytime ladders are used to clean second
level windows, safety tie offs will be required.
3. Which facilities can be done with Water fed pole system? i.e.
Discovery Museum, Main Library and Council Tree Library have been done in times past
with council tree library both ways ( water fed pole system and boom lift ) In the March
clean it can be cold and the water freeze around entry and side walks
Answer - Water fed pole system would be allowed for certain locations at the
Museum of Discovery, and locations at our Police Services Facility. Council Tree
Library second floor exterior outside windows need to be cleaned with only a lift,
no water fed pole systems.
4. At the Activity Center (FAC) it doesn’t specify if 3rd floor is in and out or exterior only Also
looking at the info, which part of the building is done for the monthly cleans? Is the In and
out area of mall and entrance from mall for monthly and 2nd and 3rd floors are added for
semi-annuals?
Answer - The Foothills Activity Center (FAC). Frequencies are interior 1st and 2nd
floors monthly, yearly 3rd floor interior and exterior. The responsibility of the mall
entrance to the facility is a part of the window cleaning requirements. The use of
only lifts for the 3rd floor exterior windows.
5. At the Drake Water Reclamation is A15 the one story Admin office?
Answer - This facility is a ground level only facility
