The proposed dewatering equipment will be capable of processing all of the biosolids produced on-site. Existing ancillary facilities associated with the dewatering equipment (i.e., dewatering feed, polymer system, and cake load out) will be modified as needed. This project also includes installation of a strain press (size and manufacturer/model are likely to match existing) in the Headworks Building. The existing metal platform will be modified as needed to accommodate the new unit. Piping modifications will be designed to allow either unit to be in-service and will include a bypass around both units. The purpose of this Work Order is to provide the technical analysis and engineering pre-design for the implementation of the proposed dewatering and strain press project (Project). This pre- design phase will extend through submittal of the Site Amendment Application & Engineering Report. Final design, preparation of drawings and specifications, equipment procurement, and pre-construction support will be provided as part of a separate Work Order.
