Mason St. 2nd Floor PO Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522 970.221.6775 970.221.6707 fcgov.com/purchasing EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS 1) Where is the Network Closet on the first floor located? Answer: IT closets, server room and electrical rooms indicated on attached map, which has been updated from the one that was included in the RFP. 2) Will the City provide POE switches? (NOTE: WE ARE A CISCO SHOP). Answer: This proposal asked for PoE injectors. The Library District will be furnishing PoE switches for both floors, and PoE injectors will not be needed. 3) What’s the City’s current video platform? Answer: Salient Systems. 4) What are the working hours for the camera installation? Answer: Cameras are to be installed outside of library open hours at the Old Town Library, which are: Mon. - Thu. 9:00 am - 9:00 pm Fri. 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Sat. 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Sun. Noon - 5:00 pm 5) Do cameras need to be vandal-proof? Answer: Outside ones do. Also; other exterior camera locations at City of Fort Collins facilities have had issues with moisture, cold, and heat that we would like to avoid, if possible. 6) Do you need audio on the cameras? Answer: No. 7) The big question is PoE injectors. I know you are a Cisco shop, but are you open to other PoE switches for the cameras? We use HP and Dell switches for PoE. I’m only thinking of the additional outlets needed for each individual PoE injector needed for each camera. Answer: No; see #2, above. 8) I saw that you use Dell Servers at the library. Our camera system uses a decentralized architecture for recording, meaning there is no DVR required to record, they can record to any file server. At that point, would you provide the server (since I must assume that you have a preferred buying strategy in place) and we configure it, or would we provide the server. Answer: Awarded vendor will provide the server for data storage and application, as per the specifications on page 4 of the RFP. 9) Is there a 4 post rack available to mount equipment? And if Yes; how much U height is available? Answer: No. The equipment will be on a shelf. 10) Will we be required to have a technician on-site to aim the cameras? Answer: A representative from the Library District staff will be available at time of camera install to help the awarded vendor’s technicians set the camera views. 11) Will power be provided for external cameras? Answer: Yes; as needed. 12) Can you provide CAD drawings for the building? Answer: Library District will provide pdf drawings to the awarded vendor only. EXHIBIT 2 EXHIBIT 3
