Is the installation of CCTV cameras and their associated wires a part of this bid? No that work will be conducted under separate contract. The selected camera installer will be pulling their own wires. 2. Is there any underground work associated with this bid? There is no underground work under this bid, fiber to building will be by others and be brought into IT Room 111. 3. Is radio dispatch a part of this bid? Radio dispatch is outside the scope of this bid. 4. What is the number of cables you want at each wall faceplate for this project? 2 cables typical and should be included for each data port. Wall phones only need 1 cable per phone drop (faceplate) 5. Is Wifi to be installed in this building? Yes, Wifi will be installed, see updated drawings showing the locations of Wireless Access Points (WAPs) 6. Will the cabling contractor need to provide a lift to access the attic space above the apparatus bays to pull cables? Yes, each contractor needs to provide access to work for their employees. 7. Where is the D-mark to be located? The D-mark is to be located in IT Room 111 8. Can you provide a list of notes on Sheet E3.0 that the cabling contractor is to perform? Cabling contractor shall complete cabling work associated with the following notes on Sheet E3.0. Notes: 2, 6, 19, 39, 47 and 53 (These notes are highlighted on updated drawings included in the addendum) 9. Is the Ambulance quarters (Room 138) to be priced separately? Yes, provide an add alternate price for the work associated with Room 138. The Contract will be awarded on base bid. 10. Is there any backbone requirement for the CATV system? No the backbone for CATV, will be provided by others 11. To what extent do we need to provide unit pricing for the materials listed on the additional bid schedule? Provide unit prices for all items listed 12. What is the Telecom room requirement for the project? Do you want wall mounted cabinet or floor mount rack with ladder racking? Floor mounted cabinets with ladder racking 13. What is the backbone requirement for this project if any? Comcast Business Class Fiber (all of our other stations connected with fiber utilize PRPA fiber) 14. Please verify if this is a CAT 6 solution? Yes, CAT 6 is required. 15. Do you want CAT 6A cables run to the Wireless Access Points (WAP)? Yes, we’d like the 2 ceiling drops. 16. Is this a prevailing wage project? No this is not a prevailing wage project 17. Who is to install the plywood for the Telecom room? The plywood will be installed by the General Contractor 18. Who is to provide, install and program the UPS’s for the Telecom room? If cabling contractor is to provide, what UPS is required? City NetCom will provide the battery backup UPS for the Telecom room. Unless something in our agreement has changed since we built Station 4, The cabling contractor will install the cabinet, patch panels, and cable management. City IT will install UPS, patch cables and network switch. 19. What is to be installed for the main pathway routing for low voltage cables and who is to install? The cabling contractor shall install their own supports for low voltage cables. “J” Hooks are acceptable EXHIBIT 2 – REVISIONS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS 1. Delete the following items from Page 15 of the Invitation to Bid. Strike the 4th and 5th sub- bullets stating: o Each network closet will utilize a voice gateway for analog devices requiring RJ21X 25 pair cable terminated in compatible patch panel. o 8 Copper interconnections between Floor One, Floor Two and Floor Three. 2. The cabling contract shall include 3’ patch cables in network closet and 10’ patch cables for the work/living space locations.
