Collins and possibly other city employees by invitation. Christie Ward, CSP has delivered presentation skills to several corporate and public sector teams with great success, and has delivered train-the-trainer programs to groups in both sectors as well. This class would focus on live face-to- face training skills and the use of the Everything DiSC Wiley products. The Impact Institute is a full service training and speaking firm, delivering custom solutions to the public and corporate sector since 1999. Christie Ward is a certified speaking professional (CSP), a designation held by less than 10% of the professional speakers in the world, demonstrating her acumen in consistent delivery for clients and her reputation. Please access www.impactinst.com for testimonials and an overview. A resume or referrals are available upon request from the Department of Interior, the National Business Center, the USAF Air Mobility Command, the Federal Executive Board, IHS Corporation and Johnson & Johnson, to name a few. Goals The training needs to build competencies and show comparisons between the Wiley DiSC products: DiSC Classic 2.0, Everything DiSC Workplace, Everything DiSC Man- agement, and the Work of Leaders. The Five behaviors of a cohesive team product using DiSC can be demonstrated if desired. Participants will also gain knowledge of the facilitator’s report, the culture report, com- parison reports, and team reports. Partici- pants need to make choices for the best product to achieve the result desired. All products will be demon- strated, and samples shared. The instructor will demonstrate how each can be used for team building, one- on-one coaching, conflict mediation, leadership programs, and open enrollment classes for the city, Each participant will have a chance to practice delivering a section of content, with Video taping and individual coaching to personalize the experience. Participants will become familiar with the MyEverythingDiSC portal and supporting materials. This is a practical and informational program designed to give participants the Page 1 knowledge they need to train any of the Wiley DiSC products. Foundations of DiSC theory and interpretation of assessments will be core to participant’s understanding. Everyone will leave with a plan and the confi- dence to execute it. Christie always offers 3 months of follow-up coaching via email support for any train-the- trainer session, included in the cost. Solution The Impact Institute suggests.... The training will be held over two days for a group of up to 12. These two days can be concurrent or sepa- rated by a period of time. Each member of the group will receive codes for an Everything DiSC Workplace profile to take online prior to the first class session. They will also receive their Everything DiSC manual with an assignment, some white papers and articles to read prior to the session, and a quick pretest to determine their current DiSC knowledge. These will be discussed during various modules of class and tied to the indi- vidual style of each person when they present. The first day will focus on the various DiSC products, how they are different, how to use them to train various audiences, and DiSC theory. There will be samples of all the products for people to see, as well as a deep dive into the Everything DiSC Workplace profile that each person will have to reference. A demonstration of the MyEverythingDiSC portal will refresh participants on how easy it is to run comparison reports for team members, as well as refresh the content of DiSC long after class sessions are complete. On the second day, participants will prepare a training module to deliver for the group for videotaping and feedback. Successful communication is what’s received, not what’s intended. Each member of the group needs to see themselves as others see them, so videotaping and critique is in- cluded. Successful trainers are good communicators, and can engage all the various styles in the room. Different activities and active learning methods will be demonstrated throughout the two days, with an em- phasis on how to use these in their own training design and delivery. Participants will have copies of their videos on USB drives at the end of the program to review for ongoing learning and share with their supervi- sors. Each person will receive a substantial workbook that they will personalize throughout the two days, as well as articles, samples of products and resources. How would we do that.... Following is a list of topics to be covered during the group training sessions and coaching. • Become aware of how your audience perceives you. Receive individualized coaching on your delivery. • Become conversant in DiSC theory and have access to validity and reliability for the profile tools. • Get clarity on how to coach to different DiSC styles, including practice with each other.
