PROPOSAL FOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
Date: 23 August 2016
Client: City of Fort Collins Natural Areas Dept
Project Name: Graves Camp
Project GENERAL Location: SCOPE OF Larimer PROJECT: County, Colorado
Structural investigation and analysis of the structures at the Graves Camp. An investigative report will
be generated and will be based on the following:
The foundations, floor framing, roof framing, and wall framing of each structure will be
analyzed to determine the structures theoretical capacities to withstand current building code
prescribed loading with respective to gravity and lateral forces.
Design of reinforcing for inadequate structure will be completed and conveyed in written form
in the report. No drawings will be produced.
The format of an example report will followed closely.
SCOPE OF STRUCTURAL SERVICES:
Perform multiple site visits to document the existing foundation, floor framing, roof framing,
wall framing, and sheathing/decking of the building and investigate the current structural
condition of these items.
This investigation will be a “limited observation”. No load or destructive testing will be
performed and we will only comment on those items which are readily visible or made evident
by surface characteristics. Unseen defects may exist in the building structures that are not
apparent due to them being concealed by the building’s finishes (drywall, siding, etc).
Perform an analysis to verify the adequacy of the structural components of each building. The
currently adopted building code by Larimer County will be used to determine the loads/forces
that the structures are required to resist.
Provide a report compiling the findings of the site investigation, the results of the analysis, and
a recommended action to be taken for each structure.
The Base Fee includes reimbursables for mileage, copies, and normal printing. Printing above
normal coordination and express delivery services will be billed at actual cost without markup.
BASE FEE: $10,200
Breakdown:
Fees previously invoiced and paid by RB+B = $3,196
Balance of fee to be paid by the city = $7,004
