250 sf.).
New Park Shelter, (by Vendor), Schematic design concepts, electrical lighting
design, open‐air roof, (approx. 20' X 20', 400 sf.)
Existing bridge foundation abutment, new bridge (by Vendor, no work).
Existing Pump House (No work).
Architect ‐ Architecture West LLC; SD schematic design options, DD design
development and final CD construction document final reviews. Project Team
Coordination and (3) design coordination meetings. Restroom ‐ $9,500., Shelter ‐
$2,100., (20 hrs.), Meetings & Coordination $2,100., (20 hrs.)

Scope of Work: Schematic Design & Construction Documents - Design and Remodel of
existing Park Restrooms and concept schematic design for new Park Shelter.
Remodel Existing Park Restroom, (250 sf.).new façade and roofs, ADA upgrades, new finishes.
New Park Shelter, ((400 sf., by Vendor), Schematic design concepts, covered roof w/ open sides.
Existing bridge foundation abutment, new bridge, (by Vendor, no work).
Existing Pump House, (no work).
Coordinate with General Contractor, selected Vendors and City Staff.
Fee Schedule

2. Architecture
SD schematic design options, DD design Development and final CD construction
document final reviews. Project Team Coordination and design coordination meetings.
Restroom - $9,500. .
Shelter - $2,100., (20 hrs.).
Meetings & Coordination $2,100., (20 hrs.). $13,700.

Exclusions
Revisions, reference documents, renderings, specifications, as-builts, Acoustic and/or Soils Engineering, or otherwise not
specifically noted. Re-design and/or modified construction documents shall be provided under separate contract.
Expenses
Reimbursable expenses include, but are not limited to expense of reproductions, postage and handling of Drawings,
Specifications and other documents, mileage. Expenses are billed at cost plus 15%.
Insurance
A-W and other Engineering Consultants shall carry General Liability, Professional Liability and Workers’ Compensation
Insurance.

To follow up on our August 5th project meeting and our August 11th site visit, please find the attached list of MEP items
that we discussed and items we would like clarifications on:
Mechanical/Plumbing
A transfer grille will be added to the bathroom door. There are existing vents up high in the bathroom walls
that will remain. This will serve as the ventilation.
There will be no mechanical exhaust.
Hose bibs will be replaced.
Hose bibs will be added inside each restroom.
Existing drinking fountain will be removed and replace with a new ADA drinking fountain.
The sink in each restroom will be replaced.
Please provide the spec for the sink/faucet that is desired. It was desired that the new sink match the sinks in
the new parks, although it was not clear if these were stainless steel or china.
At the site walk it was discussed to replace the urinal in the men’s restroom. A low flow urinal with a sensor
flush valve in the wall was discussed as was the possibility of a waterless urinal.
Please confirm which direction is desired.
At the site walk it was discussed to replace the flush valve for the water closets in the men’s and women’s
restrooms. A wall sensor was discussed in place of the current push button.
Please confirm if this is the direction desired.
Electrical
Exterior wall pack is LED and doesn’t need to be replaced.
Electric hand dryers in restrooms will likely be replaced. The City will provide specs for equipment used in
other restroom facilities.
Pole light near basketball court is still operational. It was previously stated that this light fixture was no longer
in use.
Light fixture in janitor closet doesn’t need to be replaced.
It was discussed about making the building electrical system solar ready. It was decided that given the small
size of the building it would simple to incorporate at a later date.
Bathroom light fixtures will be replaced. The City will provide specs for fixtures they have used in other
restroom facilities.
Existing doors have electric locks and motion sensors on the inside of the door.
There is no exterior light fixture on the north side of the building.
