SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Description of RFP 8253: TransFort Network Monitoring Tool
OPENING DATE: 3:00 PM (Our Clock) May 31, 2016
To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described above,
the following changes/additions are hereby made and detailed in the following sections of this
addendum:
1. Please note that the due date for proposals has been changed. The Due Date is now:

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. Q: Whether companies from Outside USA can apply for this (like from India or Canada) and
whether we need to come over there for meetings?
A: City staff will require on-site visits to discuss scope of work, training plans, ongoing
maintenance and general contract negotiations. Additionally, as part of the scope of work,
the City has required on-going support packages. While it is plausible that a firm could
provide these services remotely, working through time-zone differences, availability and
need for support would be challenging to accomplish. Proposals will be considered;
however, as noted in the proposal scoring structure, firm availability relative to staff needs is
a factor in scoring.
2. Q: Can we perform the tasks (related to the RFP) outside the USA?
A: See question 1.
3. Q: Can we submit the proposals via email?
A: The preferred method of submittal is email. Please refer to page 1 of the RFP for detailed
instructions on submittal requirements.
