Addendum 1 – 7636 Hydraulic Excavators Page 2 of 2
EXHIBIT 1 – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. Auxiliary Hydraulics on both machines– Do you really want a secondary aux circuit
for a medium pressure circuit? This is not a normal application for a tracked
excavator. This is more of a wheeled excavator application.
Delete requirement for secondary auxiliary supply circuit noted in Auxiliary
Hydraulics specifications for both excavators.
2. Both Excavators under tie-down points – tie down on the blade when a blade is not
required.
For both Excavators - Delete notation concerning Tie-down points on the
blade. Tie downs points required on undercarriage for secure
transportation of the machine.
3. Tracks – the line about the construction of the tracks with steel cables and
embedded shanks is usually only in a continuous rubber track like on a mini-ex.
Tracks to be constructed as appropriate for specified sized machine.
4. Are rubber tracks or pads necessary? Would steel pads be accepted?
Rubber tracks/ pads are necessary. Steel pads will not be accepted.
5. On Excavator # 2 – what is the bucket size required?
Bucket: A 36” heavy duty general purpose bucket with replaceable teeth.
Bucket equipped with hydraulic thumb: A 36” heavy duty general purpose
bucket with replaceable teeth.
